  1. @parazight @Pipinghot ...stop guys... you are stubborn against each other, this only leads to you not understanding each other. Put the battle ax aside and take a deep breath before continuing if you want to have a "constructive" speech
  2. Hi, even if you are in PVE mode you should be able to kill your Dino&Baby using any type of weapon with your character (not with your other dinos from TheIsland), but from my tests in Official PVE it seems that in ASA you don't get them plus XP points from the kill. If it's not possible for you to damage your Dinos, maybe you should try to see if you have the "friendly fire" mode turned off.
  3. Hi, "hide sail" works correctly for me (XBox - Server Official). Excuse my ignorance but, what do you mean by "lowering the raft"?
  4. hi, I suggest you do some tests manually, i.e. try dropping the eggs (from your inventory) onto the platform and check where they stay and if Oviraptor picks them up, then try dropping them directly under the platform and check if Oviraptor picks them up , then try to place a couple of Yuty on the platform and mate them, when it lays the egg check where it is positioned and if Oviraptor picks it up. If each of these tests works correctly then it's most likely just what @FeyGriffin said (same inference I also had to your OP), otherwise one possibility is that eggs falling through ceilin (see @Pipinghot 's answer) could go to end up beyond the Mesh and not be picked up by Oviraptor since the latter needs a couple of seconds before picking up (and therefore now too far away). Side note: Eggs generally have some issues right now, a recent patch fixed something but compromised something else (previously you dropped the egg and it was left floating, now it falls to the ground but first it rolls a few meters before to return to the correct position, and after this Patch the excrements get stuck under the ground instead of above, so there could actually be some strange problem in your case). Let us know how your tests went
  5. For ASA or ASE? ASE = Shadowmane + Yuty (or + Stego and Shotgun) In ASA we haven't Tek Dinos Spawn on TheIsland
  6. I'm not an expert on private servers but, do dedicated servers need to be saved in game? Isn't it the Server that holds the data?
  7. On XBox: GamePass, or at least the Gold subscription, is required to access the online features (it is also written in the game description in the Store/packaging). You should be able to play Single Player without problems precisely because the game has been purchased entirely, if it was downloaded via Gamepass then you will have to have it active even just to start the game, this applies to practically all games on XBox now.
  8. To tell the truth, I have received a maximum of 20 sap since the first placement more than a month ago, I have never tried to collect a single piece to see what happens.
  9. ..and continuing with the mutations, the Tek Rex will be able to receive more since the "cap level" of the Tek creatures is higher than the normal ones (500 Tek level - 450 normal level, with Vanilla settings). Also, the normal Rex you got seems like a max level wild to me (150 or very close, right?), remember that Tek wilds can reach level 180 so it's possible that you can also find something better to integrate into the coupling line, although both Rexes you proposed already have optimal stats.
  10. Especially for people like me who don't use Discord, your good summary at least keeps us updated. TY! PS: it would be interesting this Friday to receive a good first Community Crounch structured in a decent way, with info about how they are dealing with these problems (I would also add the disastrous delay and elastic).
  11. Dinos in "neutral" and "attack my target" modes will not have any reaction until a Survivor or Dino of the Tribe is damaged, they will not attack even when something tries to attack you but fails to touch you (when you hear the battle music someone is trying to hit you but none of your Dinos will react until you actually get touched, so you can run away without anyone engaging in the fight). The difference between "neutral" and "attack my target: in "attack my target" your Dinos will always attack the animal that is attacking your character, if you are fighting a Carno and a Raptor where the Raptor is harming everyone they will attack the Raptor even if the Carno hits them, at the moment the Raptor runs away he will be chased but if at that moment the Carno hits you then everyone will flock towards the Carno while in "neutral" mode they would continue to chase the Raptor, so in "neutral" they will fight against whoever is hitting them without changing their objective if something hits you (this is why in Boss Arenas it is more logical to put "neutral" otherwise the army could be distracted from attacking the Boss if a minion hits you ). As for the "agro ray" it should work just as you imagine because it affects the distance between the two animals in question, I use it for example on the Argi and the Dimorphodons: if I am around with some of them as an escort I will I always keep at least 1 with minimum range and in "attack my target" to increase my defense on the character when others are already chasing something that then moves away, this is not your case but the concept is that they should only attack within the set radius and they should stop attacking when their target goes out of that range even when other Dinos continue the chase if set with greater range, and it should also apply with your Calicotherios in the turret if set with different ranges (I'm not sure about this, the the only turrets that I use/used are Yuty-Velona-CristalWyrm-Magmar but for the uses I make of them it wasn't useful for me to have differentiated distances)
  12. Yes, it seems to be normal in ASA too. The Wild Baby are an exception, I happened to see pairs of W.Baby where only one of the two scored 2 levels higher than his brother.
  13. Hi, sorry for the question but: does only a small green icon with no writing appear above your Bary? Or do you see all the text in green "Baryonix lv xxx"? If you only see the icon then you have the "reduced names" setting enabled and in this case to view the dino's name you must look at the center of that icon, this option can be changed in the settings. There are two different settings that affect the floating names of Player and Dino.
  14. I also live on the edge of the redwoods on the border with the swamp, both when I was in ASE and now in ASA, I'm so used to them that I don't even notice them anymore, it's true that for now in ASA the animals still have movement problems and therefore the fast ones like Microraptor seem like uncatchable arrows but my Pike and my reliable shoulder Dimorphodon are a good combination, in this regard I agree with a flock of some Dimorphodons that follow you during the harvest (in the Sequoias you can easily find them to tame some dedicated to this task) and in ASA right now the birds have greater speed when following you compared to ASE, but you could fight the beast with the same beast... catch and have some of them follow you, they have the pack pack bonus and play the equal to the speed. Although your idea of using hunting gulls is interesting and I'm curious to know if it works for you. All this aside, have you already tried planting Plant-X (or automatic turrets) in strategic points of your main harvest path?
  15. yes absolutely everything... including elastics and delays we can say that we are playing it twice in one mhuhhuhahaha ...not that there is much to laugh about actually!!
  16. Hi, if you are on an Official Server then someone may have sent a report for blocking the Ob platform, I'm not sure if in this case you would have received a message from the GM. I don't even know if in ASA someone can start a boss fight and send your dinos into the Mesh, if they entered the Mesh then they can disappear without leaving a trace in the Tribe register. If you don't have them on your tame list and they haven't been cryopodized then I guess you won't see them again... 😞
  17. ...hmmm does restarting the Tek Cave to recover your bag also work in the Official Server (ASA)? This might have been a good alternative in my situation, but still useful to know.
  18. ASA or ASE? There are some methods but not very convenient in terms of mobility or safety. For example you can walk around with a Paracer with a platform and 4 walls. You would be safe from them even inside the pouch of a Procoptodon. Or walking on foot, as mentioned by UDG will not stun you. Obviously a bird is a good solution. The good Stegosaurus will also protect you from them, or a Thery, but from what you wrote it seems to me that changing your mount is not your interest... Edit: Now that I think about it, it seems to me that if you're on the Paracer you don't need the walls..
  19. all aggressive animals and all irascible ones (which become aggressive when you are too close, Thery DireBear Megapitrco etc.) are considered "bad", therefore also some herbivores. The fastest methods are certainly Dino's richest Caves, but it all depends on what type of Server you are playing, I am in Official PVE and the Surface Caves are always kept clean, while the Underwater Caves are currently not at within my reach, so my best option was Carno Island (possibly with an animal that can also enter the Cave as well as being capable of killing the Alphas that spawn outside), I went with two animals to clean the island and while I was waiting for the respawn I entered the cave. An affordable alternative for those in early games: the north-west peninsula on the border with the snowy biome generates many carnivores but also some herbivores, while waiting for the respawn you can go to the snow where you find hordes of Direwolf and Daeodon: choose areas they spawn Pack animals is a good option if Caves are not available. Small trick: Troodonts give few points but have a very high agro radius and as soon as you attack one they will attack you in packs even from afar, often in the company of some Compy.
  20. if I have to be honest, that would be the last of the resources if there were no alternatives (300 Dodo is more of a symbolic way of saying, but it explains the concept well) and in fact I still don't know if WC intends to limit this problem by putting a "block releasing Cryopods when Tribe Limit is reached" [[which in my opinion is an obvious implementation to do]].. Honestly my first approach yesterday was: - understand how the Fridge radius works - discover that it doesn't it is possible to place them on Platform Saddle and on Raft - fly immediately to see if the other Tribes of the Server are reorganizing their Dinos well or if instead they are using the "last resort: 300 Dodos" tactic (fortunately the situation seems good) - use the Server chat to find common ground and maintain the best mutual collaboration. Obviously this is in PVE where luckily we haven't reached the Server Limit yet, let's hope we can all work with a common cause
  21. I don't know if this also applies in PVP but I'm in an Official PVE Server and it's not allowed to build around the Obelisks in a much wider radius than ARK:SE (which was right outside the teleportation radius, you could literally surround the platform ), practically up to the gigantic rock columns that surround them, a change that I personally appreciated. PS: Similarly welcome now in ASA (PVE yes, in PVP I don't know but they would still be destructible) it is not allowed to build on the peak of the mountains for a large radius, to protect rare Resources. Just as it is not possible to build in a small radius around the Sky Drops. I'm surprised they decided NOT to do this for Explore Notes though... ...the rest is appreciated.
  22. @StudioWildcard -- EXACTLY: ""My recommendations? Let everybody get their own loot from drops. Make it a community celebration thing open to all, not just a competitive race amongst flyers."" cit.
  23. wow it seems like they also fixed the full view of the Servers on the login screen..
  24. Showcase structure? Would it be the Chibi display stand? I don't think it's the base for Taxidermy or the pedestal for Artifacts. Ok, later the first test will be to try to place the Cryofridge on the Paracer, immediately after I will try the exposure mode, finally I will go to tame 300 Dodos which will guarantee me space for breeding/taming when the Server reaches the Server limit in a couple of days...
